Cell Information:
Human Cardiac Fibroblasts (HCF, NHCF-A and -V) are derived from normal human heart tissues (atrium or ventricle).Aortic Adventitial Fibroblasts (AoAF) (isolated from the tunica external of the ascending or descending aorta) areCardiac Related fibroblasts . Human Cardiac fibroblasts or Cardiac Related Fibroblasts have been used to study the effects of TNF-alpha and angiotensin (Ang) II levels on fibroblast function. Expression of MyoD can induce myogenesis of cardiac fibroblasts. Cardiac fibroblasts involved in aortic regurgitation synthesize more Fibronectin. Estradiol inhibits cardiac fibroblast growth through conversion to methoxyestradiols, which may protect against remodeling involved in heart disease. TGF-beta stimulates differentiation of fibroblasts to myofibroblasts, which increases collagen production.
Applications:
The Transfection Reagent:
Transfection of primary cells, such as Human Cardiac Fibroblasts or Cardiac Related Fibroblasts, is a problem in the laboratory routine and further in tissue engineering and gene therapy. Most methods working effectively for cell lines in culture fail to transfect primary cells.
Human Cardiac Fibroblasts (HCF, NHCF-A, NHCF-V, AoAF) Avalanche™ Transfection Reagent is a new, proprietary solution specifically designed for transfection on Human Cardiac fibroblasts and Cardiac Related Fibroblasts. The proprietary formulation of lipids and polymers ensures the highest possible transfection efficiencies and viabilities for Human Cardiac fibroblasts and Cardiac Related Fibroblasts. No other transfection reagents can match the efficiency, convenience, and gentleness of The Reagent for transfection on Human Cardiac fibroblasts and Cardiac Related Fibroblasts.
