Cell Information:
Although lymphatic micorvascular endothelial cells have many properties in common with blood microvascular endothelial cells, they also have unique functions due to their structural features. Lymphatic capillaries have thin and discontinuous base membrane and are directly connected to the insterstitial collagens by elastic anchoring filaments. The endothelial cells of lymphatic vessel wall loosely overlap to form easily opened minivalves that make them highly permeable. Recent studies demonstrate that tumor lymphangiogenesis is a major component of the metastatic process and members of the VEGF family are key mediators of lymphangiogenesis in tumors.Human Dermal Lymphatic Microvascular Endothelial (HDLMVEC) are usually isolated from lymphatic capillaries of normal human dermis. HDLMVEC could be used for the following applications:
The Transfection Reagent:
Transfection of primary cells, such as HDLMVEC, has always been challenging, both technically and financially. The most common systems currently used for molecular delivery to these cells include expensive electroporation instruments and relatively toxic chemical formulations.
Human Dermal Lymphatic Microvascular Endothelial Cell (HDLMVEC) Avalanche™ Transfection Reagent is a new class of unique chemical formulations specifically formulated and optimized for transfecting HDLMVEC. The proprietary formulation of lipids and polymersensures the highest possible transfection efficiencies and viabilities for HDLMVEC.
